Villa Ovcharovo was established in 2012 in the eponymous village of Ovcharovo, 12 km from the town of Targovishte. The project started in 2009 with the planting of the first vineyards. Their own vineyards cover an area of 150 decars and are located on the northern slopes of the Balkan.
The varieties used in the winery are Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc for the white wines. Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Merlot are used for the production of reds and rosés.
Their history is linked to travel. Rather, it is a return to the roots of the Pre-Balkan, which has housed peoples, tribes and beliefs over the centuries.
