Varna Winery

A realized idea of two friends Grigor Grigorov and Tsanko Stanchev with a shared dream of a place that preserves the centuries-old traditions of winemaking. They have their own vineyards, 650 decares are located in the lands of General Kantardzhievo, Galata, Borovets and Shumen on sandy to cinnamon-forest soil. They rely exclusively on manual labor and experience.

Our history

Varna Winery established s in 2008 in the village of Gen. Kantardzhievo near the city of Varna. This is the dream come true of two friends with the same attitude towards the beautiful things in life - Grigor Grigorov and Tsanko Stanchev.
The vineyards of 650 decares are located in the lands of General Kantardzhievo, Galata, Borovets and Shumen. The location of the vineyards is on sandy to cinnamon-forest soil - highly drained, allowing for the control of soil moisture.

The varieties used in the winery are Varna Misket, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc - for white wines. For the production of red and rosé wines, the varieties Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are used.

They successfully develop the most pleasant tourism - wineries, having a special wine tasting room and a shop. The place is located 2 km. from the seashore, near the resorts of Golden Sands, Balchik, Albena and was specially chosen to predispose the senses to relax as much as possible in the soft embrace of the wine taste.

Varna Wine Cellar produces wines using modern technologies that meet the latest trends in the area. They rely exclusively on manual labor and experience. They process the grapes gently and carefully, with the grape must and wine being transported without the use of pumps.
