The story of DeVina began in 2016 in the area of Komluka, on the border of the municipalities of Devnya and Aksakovo.
DeVina is the fruit of the idea and long work of two friendly families, fascinated by the area and the driving force - to produce wines showing the terroir. The vineyards occupy an area of 75 dka, situated on sandy soils and terrain with the presence of limestone stones. They work with varieties of Dimyat, Vrachanski misket, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay - for the white wines. Pinot noir, Syrah, Rubin and Cabernet franc are varieties used for the production of red and rosé wines.
Years ago, when their winemaking adventure began, a rabbit would often appear in the vineyard in the early mornings. This guest looked dignified, large and calm. He allowed DeVina's creators surprisingly close to him. And were they the "guests" to him? Now that their wine is here, they want it to be the guest - pleasant and surprising to all! The Komluka area is a magnificent place from where you can enjoy a phenomenal panoramic view of the Varna Bay.
The area carries on the tradition of growing grapes of the Dimyat variety. It is a place with deep roots and a great respect for the land and natural resources. The location of the project was not chosen by chance.
The rich natural and historical heritage of the region, predetermines the tourism potential and requires an upgrade to provide a unique experience with a focus on the local winemaking traditions.
